Stone Sailing Club exists to promote and facilitate amateur yacht racing, boat sailing, rowing and canoeing, to provide opportunities for tuition and practice in the art of seamanship, and to provide social and other facilities for members.
Stone Sailing Club is managed by officers and committee (referred to jointly as “The Committee”) elected by and from the membership of the Club in accordance with the Club rules to enable the Club to meet its objects.
The Committee meets regularly throughout the year and its remit includes planning sailing events, the social functions and maintenance of the premises and club property.
A sub committee, the Sailing Committee, which comprise Class Captains and Club Officers, also meets regularly to discuss sailing issues.
Racing is supported by volunteers on the bridge and in safety boats.
